AlertSlinger™ by Velleros provides Community, Enterprise, Educational Institutions and Government Entities with mass notification tools via web-based interface. Multi-media notifications can then be delivered to community residents, parents, students, faculty, businesses, and other interested groups. To sign up for a notification, subscribers simply choose their preferred delivery method and content of interest using a publicly available web portal which is hosted by the local telephone carrier. Delivery options include: SMS (text message), Synthesized Text-to-Speech, Pre-recorded Voice telephone call, MMS, Instant Messenger or email.
AlertSlinger provides a simple, web-based interface for non-technical users to act quickly, confidently, and accurately in times of crisis. Subscribers can manage their accounts on line by using drop-down menus to make simple modifications to delivery method or pre-defined alert trigger categories. Ultimately all alerts are rendered by the subscriber device. AlertSlinger can send notifications to existing landline and cellular phones, handheld data devices (pagers and PDAs), VoIP phones, satellite phones, computers, etc. Special devices are not required; messages can be sent via voice call, short message text, multimedia message service, email, voicemail, or data session. The solution has the capability to distribute information over any type of network connection -- wireline copper, VoIP, broadband data, cellular, etc. Therefore, additional investment in network infrastructure is not required for a carrier deployment.
As an application on the Velleros core platform, AlertSlinger Community Notification provides capability for push-type information services, enabling campus alerts, recorded announcements, and community interest broadcasts. Based on a patent-pending technology, authorized personnel can create the information to be communicated via voice or text and activate the alert trigger to send in real-time. AlertSlinger delivers the capability for interactive alerting and response. The group administrator selects the distribution group, defines the required response scenario, and sends outbound messages until the response requirements are met. This provides essential management tracking and reporting as well as user feedback for system administration. This capability has application in many different organizations and industry vertical markets.
